What's it all about . . .
The Outer Banks Fiber Guild is located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is a group of people that live both on the Outer Banks and out of town/out of state that share in interest in the fiber arts of weaving, spinning, knitting, crochet, felting, and more. Though the primary emphasis is the use of a wide variety of fiber as a medium, the OBFG explores other materials used in various arts, such as bookbinding and pine straw basketry. A general meeting is held each month, followed by a hands on workshop to learn new skills.
Meetings are held (usually) the second Saturday of each month. The location changes every month, most often in the home of one of the members.
The purpose of this blog is to document the activities of the guild, share information, publicize upcoming events, and inspire others to explore the world of fiber arts.
